About Peelz Strips
Peelz Nicotine Strips are thin, clear, fast-dissolving oral films that deliver a precise dose of nicotine through the oral membrane. They dissolve completely in approximately 60–90 seconds — no chewing, no swallowing, no smoke, no vapor, no odor. Available in 2 mg and 4 mg strengths across 6 flavors.
Peelz is not FDA-approved. Peelz Nicotine Strips are classified as an over-the-counter NRT product. A patent application (#6396831) covering the Peelz therapeutic program model has been filed. Peelz does not claim FDA approval of the product itself. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting any NRT program.
Peelz strips dissolve completely in 60–90 seconds with nothing to chew or swallow, and provide rapid absorption through the oral mucosa to help manage cravings in the moment. Every Peelz kit also ships with a structured step-down program and free behavioral support — a personalized plan, 1-on-1 coaching, and a hotline staffed by certified nurse practitioners.
Choose your strength using either of these criteria:
  • Based on time to first cigarette:
    • < 30 minutes after waking → 4 mg
    • > 30 minutes after waking → 2 mg
  • Based on cigarettes per day:
    • < 20 cigarettes/day → 2 mg
    • > 20 cigarettes/day → 4 mg
If you are unsure, our free personalized plan assessment will recommend the right strength based on your tobacco use history. See the full Peelz Usage Guide for details.
Find the "Peel Here" tab on the corner of the packet, separate the two aluminum films to open it, and remove the strip. Place it on the center of your tongue (or against the inside of your cheek) and let it dissolve completely (approximately 60–90 seconds). Do not chew or swallow the strip. Do not use a strip if its packet is torn or broken.

Use as needed per your step-down plan (example 8-week schedule):
  • Weeks 1–3: 1 strip every 1–2 hours
  • Weeks 4–5: 1 strip every 2–4 hours
  • Weeks 6–8: 1 strip every 4–8 hours as needed
Do not use more than 5 strips within 6 hours or more than 1 strip at a time. See the Peelz Usage Guide for the full chart.
Yes. As an OTC NRT product, Peelz Nicotine Strips are eligible for reimbursement through most FSA and HSA accounts. Peelz may also be eligible for reimbursement through Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and many private insurance plans. Check with your plan administrator to confirm eligibility.

Yes — Peelz was specifically designed with surgical patients in mind. Nicotine use is widely considered one of the most important modifiable risk factors for surgical complications. Peelz supports patients who need to reduce nicotine before a procedure and continue through recovery. Research shows that each additional tobacco-free week after week 4 improves surgical outcomes by approximately 19%. Visit our Surgical Support page for more information.
Quitting tobacco is difficult and often takes multiple attempts. If Peelz is not meeting your needs, please reach out to our support team at (800) 555-2045 — we can adjust your plan, recommend additional resources, or help you connect with other cessation support. Other FDA-approved options include nicotine patches, gum, lozenges, and prescription medications (bupropion, varenicline). Talk to your healthcare provider about what might be right for you.
